Paterson house contains twelve, one bedroom purpose built apartments for 18 to 25 year olds in work or an apprenticeship.

YMCA Housing is providing young people in work with a positive path to aspirational, high quality and affordable accommodation.

Located close to St. Annes square Paterson house is within walking distance of local shops, transport links, restaurants and amenities. Paterson house is in an ideal location for a a young person in work.

The apartments are a stones throw away from YMCA St. Anne’s gym each tenant will have free access to YMCA gyms as part of the YMCA’s commitment to health and wellbeing.

Am I eligible to rent an apartment in Paterson House?

If you are 18 to 25 in work or an apprenticeship you are eligible to apply to live in Paterson house.

Each person’s application will be considered on a case by case basis by our housing team.

I would like to move out but I don't know if will I be able to afford it?

YMCA Fylde Coast has tried to ensure that the costs of moving will be as minimal as possible while also meeting our requirements as a landlord.

The YMCA will not be charging any letting fees to successful tenants; however, tenants will be required to provide a deposit on the apartment for any potential repairs or damages.

If you are moving out of your parents’ house or university accommodation and you are concerned about your ability to furnish the apartment the YMCA will help you secure furniture that you will pay for each month.

At the end of the payments the furniture will be yours to take away with you if you move out of Paterson house.

Will I need a guarantor?

Not all potential clients will require a guarantor, this will be determined through the application process.

What information will I need to provide to the YMCA?

Proof of income

Previous address

Two personal identity documents (Drivers license, passport, birth certificate, resident card.

You will need to provide two references; one from your employer, one from your current landlord. If you are moving out of the family home it will have to be a professional contact not a relative.

After I have registered my interest when will I get a response?

The YMCA housing team is processing a lot of requests for the apartments and will aim to get back to you within 2 working days.

Can I have pets?

Tenants will not be allowed to have pets due to the layout of Paterson house and respect for other tenants.
